Event reminders
The What's on module allows you to browse and search
for upcoming events being held within the borough.
You are also able to request e-mail reminders for events
you are interested in.
Browsing events
The What's on module will list the next five upcoming
events. You can restrict the list to show only events of a
particular type. Use the View events of type drop down list
to select which type of upcoming event you are interested in.
To see full details of any event click the event title in the
list.
Registered users can click the Directions link for detailed
directions for travelling to the event from their registered
location. The directions will open in a new browser
window.
Searching for events
Follow the Search for events link at the bottom of the module to
access the events search facility.
The event search form can be found on the right hand side
of the page.
- Complete the form with a range of dates to search. You
can click the "Browse events dates" buttons to select your required
dates from a calendar.
- use the tick boxes to select the category of event you
wish to search.
- Optionally you also include specific terms to search for by
entering them in the keyword box.
- Click the Search button to perform the search. Events
that match your search criteria will be listed in the centre of the
page.
- Click the event title to see full details of that event.
Reminders
If you are a registered user you can ask to be reminded of any
event you are interested in. Reminders are sent out three
days before the selected event. If the event takes place in
less than three days you will not receive any reminders.
- To select an event to be reminded about just click the Remind
me link alongside the event concerned.
- You can remove an event from your Reminders list by clicking
the Remove links alongside the event concerned.
