Term dates 2010-2011

Non-contact days

A non-contact day is a day that has no timetabled teaching hours.  Five non-contact days annually for in-service training and school related activities, when pupils will not be in school, are to be selected by governing bodies from within the term dates.

School INSET days

Teacher Training Day - each year five days during term-time are set aside for staff training. Pupils do not attend school on these days.  School INSET days should be agreed and Children's Services and parents informed as soon as possible after the governing body meeting in the autumn term.

The above dates are subject to change if imposed by statutory legislation.
We have adopted the school holiday dates recommended by ALG (Association of London Government).

Religious and Foundation schools

We have no control over the Religious or Foundation schools (these schools choose their own holiday dates). If you are unhappy, contact the school your child is attending.

Attendance

The local authority has asked schools to adopt a policy of zero tolerance for leave of absence taken during term time without the permission of the headteacher.
