The Mayors Appeal

As well as performing civic duties, the Mayor will select a national or local charity to support during their year of office. The Mayor's Appeal Committee will raise money by organising a wide range of events, functions and activities. All money raised goes direct to the Mayor's chosen charity at the end of the Mayoral year.

The Mayor's Appeal charities for 2009/10 are:

REBEP
Redbridge Business Education Partnership (ReBEP) is a charity which exists to develop and enhance the skills and potential of the local business community and their future workforce through structured education, training and enterprise initiatives

Alzheimer's Society (Redbridge Branch)
Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
